About Cariad

The name "Cariad" (Welsh for "love" or "beloved") reflects the philosphy behind the consulting: camps built on genuine care for campers, staff, and leadership and a mission to create the most meaningful relationships and experiences. Cariad is how we believe each camper and staff member should feel after spending time at camp.

All in our family

We met at camp in 1985, both long-time campers. After three years of friendship, we married, moved to camp, and raised five children there while working at the very place that shaped us. It was, in every sense, an adventure.


Until recently, we co-directed Camp Rancho Framasa in Nashville, Indiana, serving for more than 40 years. During that time, we led through growth, change, and deep community impact.


Angi specialized in Inclusive Programming. As a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, she developed programs, policies, and protocols that expanded access and strengthened participant support. She also directed human resource efforts, coordinating hiring, training interviewers, and building mission-aligned staff culture.


Kevin is known for steady leadership, clear communication, and the ability to align people, programs, and purpose to create sustainable, participant-centered outcomes. He balances mission and operations with a deeply human-centered approach.


We were also both happy to unclog toilets and wash dishes when needed.


Together, alongside remarkable staff, we helped create a one-of-a-kind camp experience for people of all abilities. Now, through Cariad Camp Consulting, we’re ready to share that experience more broadly.


Our aim is to listen, teach, and support camps in creating intentional, inclusive environments rooted in compassionate leadership, thoughtful systems, and belonging for all.
